Anti-racist Learning Development & Accountability: Practice discussing race with faculty, staff, and students through personal reflection, open, honest questions, and action scenarios.
Becoming an anti-racist is a lifelong process. This curriculum is designed to lead a small community of faculty, staff, and students in a deep dive into anti-racist practice. It explores readings and activities that provide various levels of engagement. This learning community is aimed at those who want to a) gain confidence talking about race with people of racial-ethnic backgrounds other than their own, b) frame dialogue with open, honest questions, c) practice what to do or say in contentious exchanges or d) reflect on your contexts for action. We partner to co-create psychological safety, bravery, and belonging, regardless of status.
We understand that professional and personal bandwidth can challenge sincere commitment to this work; therefore, we’ve created a schedule that we hope will accommodate schedules across the global community and help with advance planning. We have 20 spots in our small, diverse community. Participants should commit to attending all sessions on Wednesdays from 2:00 to 4:00 PM EST via Zoom on the following dates: January 29, February 12, February 26, March 12, March 26, April 9, and April 23.
We urge you to share this learning opportunity widely with anyone within your spheres of influence and access! (Registration information coming soon!)
