Center for International Affairs and World Cultures

The Center for International Affairs and World Cultures, hosted by the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, draws on Northeastern University’s many strengths in the study of international institutions and processes, enhancing knowledge of world societies, politics, and cultures. The Center’s activities aim to advance interdisciplinary scholarship, programs of study, and transnational linkages. Housed in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Center coordinates the activities of area studies programs devoted to multiple geographic regions, while emphasizing four thematic concerns that span the globe.

Efforts

  • The Center is organized around 4 Research Themes: International Security and Resilience, International Public Policy, Global Understanding and Sustainability, Development, and Environment.
  • This Spring, the Center is hosting a series called “Controversial Issues in Security and Resilience Studies: Spring 2016 Speaker Series.”
